Interests and achievements

Social work

Volunteered as a counselor for "Vinalínan" from mid-2003 to late 2004, a phone-in service run by the Icelandic Red Cross for individuals in emotional distress (similar to The Samaritans in the UK).

Travel

Been to: N-America, Scandinavia, W-Europe, Turkey, Africa (Namibia and Malawi), E-Europe (Poland, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia, Croatia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine).

Hobbies	Linguistics, politics, political history, aerospace, hiking and the outdoors.
